First quarter 2009 results:

Tuesday, April 21, 2009 — The company plans to release first quarter 2009 financial and operating results after the close of the New York Stock Exchange. The company will host an investor conference call at 5:30 p.m. (ET) on the same day to review the results.
Earnings materials, including copies of the first quarter 2009 earnings release and statistical supplement as well as a link to the live audio webcast of the conference call, will be accessible to the general public on the company's investor relations website at ir.ameriprise.com. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 — The company plans to host its annual meeting of shareholders at its headquarters at 707 Second Avenue South in Minneapolis at 11:00 a.m. (CT). Holders of record of Ameriprise Financial common stock as of February 25, 2009 are entitled to vote at the meeting.
