There are four types of Ameriprise certificates, each designed to meet different investment objectives.
The Ameriprise Flexible Savings Certificate is a fixed-rate investment with competitive returns that lets you choose a term from six months to three years.
This unique investment offers interest tied to the potentially higher returns of the stock market, up to a maximum interest rate or a lower participation in the returns of the stock market, plus an interest rate guaranteed by Ameriprise Certificate Company.
Features similar to those of the Stock Market Certificate with the flexibility of having your contributions invested systematically over a period of time. This unique investment offers interest tied to the potentially higher returns of the stock market, up to a maximum interest rate, or a lower participation in the returns of the stock market, plus an interest rate guaranteed by the Ameriprise Certificate Company. Does not guarantee a profit or protect against lack of returns in a declining market.
An Ameriprise Installment Certificate offers base yields, plus a bonus for regular saving, which can give a substantial boost to your total return.
Investment products are not federally or FDIC insured, are not deposits or obligations of or guaranteed by any financial institution and involve investment risks including possible loss of principal and fluctuation in value.
Investors in the Ameriprise Stock Market Certificate and Market Strategy Certificate may not receive interest if the underlying index is flat or lower at the end of the period than it was at the beginning of the period.
Ameriprise certificates are backed by reserves of cash and qualified assets on deposit. The assets backing the certificates have varying ratings and generally increase in market value as interest rates fall, and decrease in market value as interest rates rise. Bank CDs are FDIC insured.
You should consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of certificates carefully before investing. For a free copy of the certificate prospectus, which contains this and other information, download it here, or call (800) 862-7919. Read the prospectus carefully before you invest.
