Get Your Volunteer On
Every year, you'll receive eight hours of paid volunteer time. (Yes, it's true!) And, it's easy to use. Our teams organize projects for National Days of Service, such as home-building with Habitat for Humanity, working at a homeless shelter or cleaning up community parks and green spaces. Use your time in one eight-hour shift or break up your volunteer time into two four-hour shifts. It's just one more way you can bring Handle With Care to life. Of course many employees go beyond eight hours and continue to volunteer on their own time. Joining employee networks and participating in the activities they sponsor is an easy way to jump into our culture of volunteerism and find opportunities to help others.
Generosity in Action
We make generosity easy by organizing simple ways for our employees to contribute to worthy causes. Are you a blood donor? The Red Cross comes to the Green Bay facility on a regular basis. You’ll also be able to add your contributions to donation drives for school supplies, basic needs and holiday gifts for needy families.
If you want to be part of local efforts to end hunger, you'll have that chance at Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance. Each year, we work with hunger organizations like food pantries and meal sites to help people in need.
Being environmentally responsible means more than just sorting recyclables Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance (although we do that too). We have a long history of making decisions with the environment in mind. From preferential parking for ridesharing commuters to on-site garden plots, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint.
Each fall, our employees take part in an annual Giving Campaign. Led by two members of the Ameriprise Auto & Home team, the two-week campaign matches employee interests with charitable causes. Just how strong is the Handle With Care spirit? Nearly 80% of employees participate, including many who support these causes throughout the year through payroll deductions. With the Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance gift-matching program, your donations go even further. Ameriprise Financial currently matches employee contributions to all eligible nonprofit organizations up to an annual maximum of $1,500 per employee.
Charitable giving extends beyond your donations. As a company, Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance contributes to non-profit efforts to meet basic needs, advance volunteer-driven causes and support community vitality in each of our locations: Green Bay, Wisconsin; Phoenix, Arizona; and Las Vegas, Nevada.
