Ameriprise MasterCard

You can download your Ameriprise MasterCard® accounts into Quicken.

Direct Connect:

  1. Open Quicken.
  2. Select Add Account and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. You will need to select Ameriprise MasterCard as the financial institution.
  4. Use Ameriprise online User ID and Password.
  5. Note: You may click on the Help icon for more information.

Web Connect:

  1. Open Quicken.
  2. Go to ameriprise.com and login to your account.
  3. Navigate to the MasterCard account details.
  4. In the transaction register, click on Download Transactions.
  5. Follow the on screen instructions to download.
  6. Note: If presented with a pop-up window, click Continue. Some computers may block the pop-up window; be sure your browser is set to allow the pop-up.
  7. You will be prompted to Open or Save the file. If you select 'Open', your Ameriprise account information will be downloaded to Quicken on your computer. If you select 'Save', you may save the EXPORT.QFX file to your computer and use Quicken to open the file later.
  8. Repeat for each account you would like to download.
Web services for Ameriprise MasterCard credit cards are supported by Barclays Bank Delaware. Web Connect downloads are provided through Barclays web services. Direct connect downloads are provided by Ameriprise systems. For questions with Quicken Web Connect downloads call 866.483.8434.
You can download the previous 180 days of history using Direct Connect and 14 months of history using Web Connect for your MasterCard account into Quicken.

Please backup your Quicken data file before switching to Direct Connect.

For most versions of Quicken:

  1. Open Quicken.
  2. Select Tools > Account List.

For each Ameriprise MasterCard Account:

  1. Select 'Edit', the Account Details screen will display.
  2. Select the Online Services Tab, select 'Remove Connection'. The account is now a manual account.
  3. Select the General Tab, change the Financial Institution to Ameriprise MasterCard.
  4. Repeat for all Ameriprise MasterCard accounts.
  5. On the Account List, select 'Activate Downloads' for any Ameriprise MasterCard accounts, the Add Account screen will display.
  6. Enter your Ameriprise Login ID and Password, follow the onscreen prompts. You will need to verify your identity in order to complete this process.
  7. All eligible Ameriprise MasterCard accounts will be returned.
  8. Select 'Link' to link a returned account with an account already existing in Quicken, select 'Add' to add a new account to Quicken, or select 'Ignore' if you want Quicken to ignore the account. Select 'Next'.
  9. New and updated Ameriprise MasterCard accounts will be displayed on the Account List screen.
  10. Select Done.

When Quicken recognizes a new transaction that has not been accepted, it will generally be noted on the Update Summary page with a red flag. Select the flagged account and review transactions.
