Jay McAnelly
Group Vice President | Ameriprise Financial Institutions Group
As Group Vice President, Jay McAnelly is responsible for the day-to-day operations and growth of the Ameriprise Financial Institutions Group (AFIG) – a channel which is dedicated to bringing non-deposit investment programs to banks and credit unions across the country.
Prior to joining AFIG, McAnelly spent 20 years as a partner with Investment Professionals, Inc., (IPI), a privately held broker-dealer serving the financial institution space which was subsequently acquired by Ameriprise in 2017. He served as IPI’s President & CEO from 2010 to 2018. McAnelly began his career as a financial advisor located at a small community bank and continued to increase his responsibilities and oversight. He is a board member of the Bank Insurance & Securities Association (BISA).
McAnelly received his B.A. from the University of North Texas.
