Who issues the Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card program?

Ameriprise has partnered with Elan Financial Services to provide the Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card program. Elan Financial Services issues the cards and provides related products and services directly to Ameriprise clients.

Who is Elan?

Where is my Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card accepted?

Visa is widely accepted around the globe. You can use your Visa card at more than 46 million locations worldwide.

How do I apply for an Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card?

1. Online: To apply for a card:

  1.  Visit ameriprise.com/cards
  2.  Visit Ameriprise.com and navigate to "Products", "Ameriprise Bank", "Credit Cards" to view the products available. Select the card(s) you'd like to apply for and click "Log in and Apply now" to begin the process. 

2. Financial advisor: Talk with your financial advisor about which card is right for you and how to get the most from the program. If you can receive text messages on your mobile device, your advisor can walk you through the application process using your device. 

3. Ameriprise app: Open the Ameriprise app, select the "More" icon, navigate to “Products" and click "Banking and Cash Management", and then choose “Credit Cards” to view the products available. Select the card(s) you’d like to apply for and click “Apply now” to begin the process.

How do I activate my Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card account?

Visit ameriprise.com/activatecard or call 800.553.7650 to activate your card.

Once my Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card account is activated, how can I use it?

You can use your online account to set alerts, pay your bill, add travel notes, request a Cardmember Agreement and more.

To access your account, log in to ameriprise.com on any web browser and select your card. 

You can also access your account information using the free Ameriprise app. To download the most recent version of the Ameriprise app directly to your device, visit the app store available on your device. You can also download the app by visiting ameriprise.com/mobile using the web browser on your mobile device and choosing a download option.

How do I access my statements online?

Log in to the secure site on ameriprise.com, from the overview page, select your credit card. Click “View Statements" which will take you to the Elan Financial card online statements page. Click on any of the statements to download them. Your Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card statements are available online going back 18 months from the current date.

Why am I being redirected to the Elan Financial Services website to view my card information?

Ameriprise has partnered with Elan Financial Services to issue and service the Ameriprise Visa Signature credit card Program. As a result, your credit card account information is displayed within the Elan Financial Services website. We encourage you to read the Elan Financial Services security and privacy policies listed on their website.

How do I set up automatic bill pay?

To set up automatic payments using your card for recurring bills like insurance premiums, cell phone, and gym memberships, contact the respective service providers. Once automatic payments are set up, you won’t have to worry about due dates, late fees, service interruptions, checks — or stamps. It’s convenient, easy and secure. Ameriprise Rewards Program provider is changing

Important Update to the Ameriprise Rewards Program — Coming May 4th

Key Things to Know:

  • Rewards Access Through April 30:
    You can view and redeem your current Rewards Points through April 30. After the update, new redemption options—like virtual gift cards and event experiences—will be available, along with an updated rewards website.
  • System Update Window: May 1–6:
    During this period, Rewards Accounts will be temporarily unavailable. You won’t be able to view, redeem, or access account information while the system migration is in progress.
  • No Action Needed:
    All your Rewards Points will automatically convert and be available to view and redeem starting May 7.
  • Your Rewards Account Number Is Not Changing.
